Individual therapy for adults will usually be in 55-minute sessions, one session per week. It could be as short as a one or two session consultation, or extend to medium or long term therapy. Taking into account your treatment goals as well as practical concerns (such as time and finances), we will collaborate to develop a treatment plan that works for you.

Concerns that may bring you to therapy include:

  • Anxiety or stress
  • Depression
  • Suicidality
  • Bipolar mood disorder
  • A traumatic experience or post-traumatic stress
  • Loss and grief (death, divorce, the end of a relationship, miscarriage, infertility)
  • Relationship distress or conflict
  • Major life transitions (pregnancy, childbirth, retirement, career change)
  • Personal growth
  • Self-harm
  • Chronic pain or illness
